Ultrafiltration Systems
Ultrafiltration systems drive liquid through a membrane with a pore size of roughly 0.01 to 0.1 micron, retaining suspended solids, bacteria, viruses and high molecular weight compounds while dissolved salts pass through. Because they work at modest pressure and produce a consistent permeate quality, they are used to pre-treat feed for reverse osmosis, to recover process water, and to concentrate proteins and other products in dairy, food and biotechnology plants.
