Flanges
Flanges create a bolted joint that can be opened again, which is why they are used wherever a line has to be broken for maintenance, inspection or equipment removal. Weld neck, slip-on, socket weld, lap joint, threaded and blind types are specified by pressure class, facing and standard, most often ASME B16.5, EN 1092 or DIN. The gasket and bolt selection decides whether the joint holds. Find global manufacturers of flanges in our Equipment Guide.
