Safety Valves
Safety valves protect vessels, pipework and people by opening automatically when pressure rises above a set point, then reseating once the system returns to normal. Spring-loaded and pilot-operated designs are sized to the relieving capacity required and are certified to codes such as ASME VIII, API 526 and PED. Because they are the last line of defence, testing and set-pressure verification are part of routine plant maintenance. Find global manufacturers of safety valves in our Equipment Guide.
