Chopper Pumps
Chopper pumps cut solids into small pieces as they enter the pump, using a hardened impeller running against a cutter bar, so that rags, fibres and debris pass through instead of blocking it. That makes them the standard solution for municipal wastewater, sludge, manure and industrial effluent, where clogging would otherwise mean repeated shutdowns and manual cleaning.
