STATS Group is a market leader in pressurised pipeline isolation, hot tapping and line stopping. Established in Aberdeen in 1998, the company quickly became the pipeline isolation and pressure testing partner of choice for several major oil and gas operators including BP and Shell. In 2003 it engineered and manufactured its first piggable inline isolation plug, followed in 2004 by the remotely operated Tecno Plug, a piggable, tetherless isolation tool that delivers double block and monitored isolation. In 2005 STATS developed the BISEP, the first leak-tight double block and bleed line stop tool. Today, with 21 patents protecting its technologies and a global network spanning nine strategic locations in the UK, North America, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and beyond, STATS Group employs over 500 skilled professionals and has delivered more than 2,143 pipeline isolations globally, including line stopping on 100% hydrogen pipelines and high pressure liquid CO2 for carbon capture and storage projects.
