After completing his research Niek started working at Equflow (flowmeter manufacturer) back in 2017 as QA and Product Manager. Besides being responsible for the company’s quality assurance, Niek also assists their customers with all technical issues that may occur during any flow measurement process. These issues occur among various application fields: biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceutical, but also semiconductor, agriculture, water management and automotive. Niek always strives to always find the best flowmeter solution for the customer which also includes customization of flowmeters so that any low viscous liquid can be measured accurately.Expert in: Flow Control and MeasurementPaul de Waal (Vögtlin Instruments GmbH)Paul de Waal is Dutch and educated as a Measurement and Control /Electronics Engineer. After a start as Instrumentation Engineer at Delta Controls, often outsourced to Shell, he became Managing Director of Sierra Instruments b.v. for almost 25 years. In 2012 he moved to the UK and now works as Business Development Director at Vögtlin Instruments GmbH in Switzerland. Paul has been active is several ISO committees and has a wide network of international relations that he can call upon to support him. (Vögtlin is part of the TASI group). He has practical experience with about every flow meter principle available. Currently his professional focus is application support, product development and international sales promotions. His main interest and experience lies in non-fiscal gas mass flow measurement/control systems and calibration. Gas mass flow meters and controllers used in applications like consumption measurements and distribution, gas dosing, mixing, (leak) testing, flame control, furnace, glass, heat treatment, packaging and analysers. In the course of my work, I followed a 4-year evening of mechanical engineering study and successfully completed it. After having worked for Foxboro for 10 years, I ended up in Germany for my work and came into contact with the Ultrasonic clamp-on measuring technique for the first time. From 1990 to 1998, I worked as a product specialist for Controlotron. In the meantime we are almost 30 years further and I have worked with almost all current suppliers of Ultrasonic clamp-on. Because I come from practice, over the years I have gained a lot of experience with other measurement principles, such as Mag meters, Coriolis, Vortex, Measuring Discs. Before I joined Flexim as general manager on 1 January 2019, I worked for 3.5 years at Endress+Hauser as Product Manager Flow and Industry Manager Oil&Gas.
