Ilmac 2027

The Origin and Future of Life Sciences

Basel is more than one of the world’s leading life sciences locations. The city stands for an industry that has grown here over generations, creates global impact and continues to be shaped by exceptional innovative strength. As the birthplace of Roche, home to the roots of Novartis and a key location for international players such as Lonza, Basel brings together pharma, chemistry, biotech, research, universities and startups in a uniquely dense and closely connected ecosystem.

Ilmac opens the door to a world where life sciences have grown for generations and where the future is being shaped. Right here in Basel, it connects scientific excellence, industrial strength, new technologies and entrepreneurial momentum – creating, as the central platform for chemistry and life sciences, the space for exchange, partnerships and innovations that shape tomorrow’s industry from Basel outward.
