Industrial Valve Summit is Focused on 2022

2 Apr 2021  |
IVS Industrial Valve Summit is looking forward to 2022, with the aim of helding the most historically significative edition of the fair.

The organizers, Confindustria Bergamo and Ente Fiera Promoberg, have decided to postpone the fourth edition the international fair dedicated to industrial valves and flow control solutions to 26th and 27h May 2022. The summit, initially scheduled for 25th and 26h May 2021, will still be held at the Bergamo Fair Centre, as originally planned.

The delicate and persisting situation linked to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic prompted the organisers to postpone the exhibition to next year, to protect people’s health and safety as well as to respond to the travel restrictions and to the impact on the global valve industry. The decision has been taken after close and deep consultation with IVS exhibitors, partners and all the players of the industrial valve supply chain. In perspective of IVS 2022, the fair will invest in ensuring the growth of the event in terms of exhibitors and visitors.

Industrial Valve Summit has always kept in contact with the industrial valve community. The organisers are working to enrich the contents of IVS 2022 programme of conferences and conventions, and to empower the communication efforts. The event will be an opportunity to discuss actual issues and trends but also to examine strategic developments in the industry. It is since its first edition, in 2015, that IVS has become a reference point in the scientific discussion in the field of industrial valves and related technologies, through the active participation of the most innovative players of the industry. In fact, the summit has always intertwined the global exhibition offer with an educational and informative soul that gives life to a rich calendar of conferences where current issues and trends are discussed and strategic developments of the entire supply chain are examined.

«Lean and Digitise, new challenges for the valve sector» is the theme that will guide the IVS 2021 technical-scientific conference sessions, with a focus on: the developments and perspectives in safe valve design, materials, coatings and corrosion protection technologies; valve actuation and control technologies with regards to the implementation with smart technologies; the reduction of fugitive emissions; the emerging technologies and future scenarios; international standards, supplies specification, lean documentation management and remote inspection technologies.

Over the years, IVS has grown by number of visitors and exhibitors but has also increased its traffic on digital channels: the visits to IVS website quadrupled in the months leading up to the last exhibition event. The third edition of the summit attracted over 250 companies and almost 11,000 visitors to Bergamo: the growth of the event stood at 36%, compared to the 8,000 accesses recorded in the 2017 edition and tripled compared to the 3,500 accesses of 2015.
