With three new low flow valves, Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has significantly expanded its portfolio for control and shut-off at high pressures and very low flow rates of liquid or gaseous media. Thus, in addition to the pneumatically actuated Type 7042 with integrated positioner, there are now two new variants with an electric actuator – Types 7242 and 7342 – as well as the manually actuated Type 7045.

All four low flow valve types are available with threaded connections in accordance with ISO and ANSI, as well as standardised socket weld connections. The socket weld connection, in particular, offers a compact, reliable and leakage-free connection solution for applications with very high pressures.

Kvs Values as Low as 0.0027 and a Nominal Pressure of PN320

Regardless of the type of actuator and connection, all Schubert & Salzer low flow valve types feature minimum Kvs values as low as 0.0027 and a nominal pressure of PN320. They are available as standard in nominal sizes from DN 8 to DN 15 and for media temperatures from –60 °C to +210 °C. Special high-temperature versions of the low flow valves can even be used at media temperatures of up to +530 °C.

Valve Bodies Machined from Solid Stainless Steel 1.4404

All valve bodies are machined from solid stainless steel 1.4404 and are fitted with metallic sealing, replaceable trim made of hardened stainless steel or tungsten carbide. This also ensures long service life and maximum reliability in high-pressure applications. Thanks to its special high-pressure packing, Schubert & Salzer achieves an extremely high level of leak tightness, even at high switching frequencies and in hydrogen applications.

Expandable with Smart Electronics

A special feature of the Type 7042 low flow valve is the integrated digital positioner Type 8049 in a user-friendly top-mounted installation. Type 8049 is also available in ATEX or FM versions and can be equipped with an IO-Link connection. With an IO-Link positioner, the low flow valve provides extensive condition data. The evaluation enables predictive maintenance planning as well as fault analysis – process reliability and system reliability are increased.

On Show at Valve World Expo 2026

Schubert & Salzer Control Systems will be showcasing the new low flow valves at Valve World Expo 2026 from 1st to 3rd December in Düsseldorf, Germany (booth C65, hall 1).
