This option provides accurate port positioning on MSVs. A typical application combines the output from several oil and gas wellheads. The MSV allows the plant to select one wellhead to be diverted for measurement and/or testing while the remaining wellheads are directed to a main outlet.
These ‘multiport’ actuators use data from Rotork’s patented high-resolution absolute encoder to deliver highly accurate bi-directional rotary MSV control and eliminate potential conversion errors.
