Sabesp provides water and wastewater services to 375 municipalities in the state of São Paulo, home to more than 45 million people, where Sabesp provides water and wastewater services to around 28 million customers. As part of Brazil’s national effort to expand and modernize water infrastructure and achieve universal access to water and sanitation by 2033, the company is investing in upgrading its distribution networks. Under the contract, GF will supply polyethylene pipes to support Sabesp on their mission to improve municipal water systems.
The agreement builds on a long-standing collaboration between GF and Sabesp. Most recently, in 2025, GF supplied a pilot NeoFlow pressure management chamber that integrates various technologies from GF, VAG and Uponor into a compact and easy-to-install solution.
“Water utilities worldwide face growing pressure to reduce losses and modernize aging infrastructure and our collaboration with Sabesp shows how we help address these challenges,” said Andreas Müller, GF CEO. “It also reflects our Strategy 2030 to strengthen our leadership in Infrastructure by providing innovative end-to-end solutions to utilities and infrastructure customers.”
“Following the successful deployment of GF’s pressure management chamber, we are now expanding our collaboration to continue to support the modernization of our water distribution infrastructure,” said Gustavo do Valle Fehlberg, Purchasing Director at Sabesp. “This next phase will help accelerate the renewal of critical networks across the region and provide safe water for millions of people.”
