HRS Heat Exchangers has successfully delivered its largest ever heat exchanger order from its manufacturing facility in Murcia, Spain to a client in North America.

The order (valued at $3.8 million) will form part of a major environmental project and includes 384 heat exchanger modules, weighing around 126 tonnes.

The system (a mixture of 6m and 10m units) includes various modules to perform a range of heating, cooling and heat recovery operations as part of a renewable energy project. The design utilises the efficient corrugated tube technology that HRS is known for.

HRS shipped its largest ever order in 18 standard shipping containers, with the first three containers leaving in early September. A further three containers were transported in mid-October, and the last consignment, comprising 12 containers, arrived safely in North America in early December, which each transatlantic crossing taking approximately three weeks.

The first delivery was inspected onsite in September by Waly Niane, HRS Senior Business Development Manager, on its arrival, with everything arriving in order and undamaged.

Matt Hale, Global Key Account Director at HRS Heat Exchangers, commented: “Delivering an order of this magnitude on time is a great testament to the teamwork between the local sales and engineering team in North America, and the designers and engineers in Spain. We look forward to working with the client to support the installation and commissioning of our equipment in due course.
