OPSIS AB develops, manufactures and sells systems for air quality monitoring and industrial gas analysis. It was founded in October 1985 by PhD students from Lund University who had developed spectroscopy-based measurement technology, and moved from Ideon Science Park to its present headquarters in Furulund in 1991. Its measurement systems are based on differential optical absorption spectroscopy in ultraviolet and FTIR versions, tunable diode laser systems, zirconium dioxide oxygen monitors, beta absorption particulate monitors and long-term samplers for dioxins and carbon dioxide. These are delivered as cross-stack, fast-loop or hot-wet extractive System 400 turnkey solutions, together with data loggers, cloud services and monitoring services. OPSIS employs around 100 people and sells through subsidiaries and a worldwide distributor network.
