ACCIONA To Commission Two Water Treatment Plants As Part Of The Yanacocha Mining Project

ACCIONA has been selected by Newmont to provide commissioning services for the East Plant and West Plant treatment facilities at the Yanacocha mine in Peru. The 19-month contract covers the coordination and supervision of both facilities, as well as the associated auxiliary systems.

ACCIONA’s work will include the development and implementation of a commissioning management system, as well as the coordination of the construction and start-up teams. The company will be responsible for verifying that the systems are functioning properly, overseeing testing, and coordinating with specialized vendors. In addition, it will provide technical support and lead the initial operational phases, ensuring the project’s environmental compliance, reliability, and safety.
