Schaffhausen has established itself as a center for industrial companies with internationally successful products. The Industry Night, which is organized by the Economic Promotion Canton of Schaffhausen, wants to bring these companies to life. Visitors can get to know eight businesses over the course of five hours.
GF Piping Systems will share insights into the manufacturing and application of industrial and infrastructure products including ELGEF, COOL-FIT, and NeoFlow. These plastic solutions consist of a wide range of components and transport media such as water in various applications like water distribution or industrial cooling. With their corrosion-free materials, GF’s systems are designed for a long-lasting, safe, and costeffective operation. To demonstrate the user-friendly design of the products, visitors will get the chance to connect two pipes via electrofusion.
The Industry Night at GF Piping Systems also includes a supporting program. Young talents will show the diversity of jobs at the company’s Schaffhausen location with around 1,150 employees, and will introduce their apprenticeships – from plastics technology and polymechanics to automation and mediamatics. As an additional highlight, freeskier and World Cup winner Andri Ragettli will hand out signed giveaways and introduce the GF Water Foundation which drives sustainable water projects around the world.
Thomas Hary, the new president of GF Piping Systems starting 1 June, comments: “Schaffhausen has been our home for 223 years – we look forward to sharing our passion for innovative solutions for handling fluids and gases. We will demonstrate how our products are used around the world to efficiently meet challenges such as water scarcity or complex chip production.”
Register here for the first Schaffhausen Industry Night on 12 June, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
