The Roxar 2600 Multiphase Flow Meter (MPFM) provides flow rates for oil, water and gas without the need for flow separation. There are two key aspects to achieving this: the raw data measurements and the embedded software.
The Roxar 2600 MPFM performs a number of raw data measurements: pressure, differential pressure, temperature, impedance and mixed density, either using a gamma density system or utilizing the patented non-gamma algorithm. Gamma and non-gamma meter versions are available, both full range, covering 0-100% gas volume fraction and 0-100% water liquid ratio. Learn more about the non-gamma meter version available in a previous article.
In addition to the raw data measurements, the embedded software, Roxar Rapid Adaptive Measurement, plays a crucial role. It is within this software that over 30 years of field experience is captured and applied, assuring customers of the robust, reliable measurement performance they have grown to expect from Emerson. Introducing the Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter
When purchasing instrumentation, operators must consider various factors, including installation simplicity, adaptability to future needs, ease of use, digital features, and autonomy.
At Emerson, we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our industry. With the release of the Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter as an integral part of the Roxar 2600 Multiphase Flow Meter, operators are provided with a streamlined, all-in-one solution.
Replacing the flow computer and field electronics that were previously provided, the Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter houses all the electronics hardware. This enhancement adds further robustness and resilience to the already reliable measurement instrument.
Previously, the Roxar 2600 MPFM was delivered with the field electronics mounted onto the meter body, and the flow computer, an electronics enclosure, mounted separately from the meter body, connected through appropriate cabling. The Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter includes all the electronics hardware required for the meter in a small, solid, hazardous area certified enclosure. It is mounted directly on the meter body, providing an elegant, all-in-one solution that enhances reliability, autonomy and precision in multiphase measurement.

Simplified and Streamlined Installation
The state-of-the-art electronics components are designed to withstand the desert heat and are packaged in a compact enclosure mounted directly on the Roxar 2600 MPFM, reducing the footprint of the multiphase flow meter. The all-in-one solution results in straightforward installation and cabling in field, saving valuable time and resources.
Enhanced Ease of Use
The Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter supports a simple, effective, automated approach, reducing hands on work and field requirements. The web user interface ensures digital interactions with the Roxar 2600 MPFM is effective and intuitive, taking the pain out of using instrumentation and supporting a data driven approach.
Built for the Future
The updated electronics hardware platform provides trustworthy measurement, with the future in mind. Reliability of measurement performance and capabilities with changing flow conditions are enhanced. In addition, a strong, future facing electronics hardware solution is ensured, with all the resilience and processing power required.
The extensive install base of the existing Roxar 2600 MPFMs with separate flow computers will continue to provide effective, high-performance results. The skilled Emerson service engineers are available globally to provide any support necessary. It is, however, possible to retrofit the Roxar 5726 Multiphase Transmitter to existing meters. If you are interested, please reach out to your local Emerson representative.
With the Roxar 2600 Multiphase Flow Meter, powered by Rapid Adaptive Measurement and equipped now with the 5726 Multiphase Transmitter, customers can be assured of the same reliable multiphase measurements solution they have come to expect from Emerson, but elevated and advanced, leading the way in the multiphase measurement field.
