Rotary lobe pumps are self-priming, valveless, rotating positive displacement pumps with two intermeshing rotary lobes. The rotation of the lobes creates a vacuum on the suction side, which draws in the pumped medium. The medium is driven into the pressure area by the rotary lobes.
In the interview, Stefan Schöberl, Global Product Line Manager TORNADO® at NETZSCH, explains what tasks fall within his area of responsibility and what goals he is pursuing for rotary lobe pumps. He also highlights the areas of application in which they are used and what makes NETZSCH’s TORNADO® so unique.
