Aalberts integrated piping systems Americas, Inc. (Aalberts IPS) manufactures mission-critical valve and connection technology under three brands: “Apollo” Valves for valves, VSH for press fittings and connection technology, and Shurjoint for grooved piping products. The manufacturing story in America began as the Consolidated Brass Company, later called Conbraco, in 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. In 1955 the manufacturing operation moved to the Carolinas, and in 2010 Aalberts, a global Dutch company, purchased Conbraco. Today the “Apollo” brand is manufactured in three locations across South Carolina. The product portfolio encompasses ball valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, control valves, mixing valves, backflow preventers, actuators, press fittings and grooved systems, applicable for residential, commercial, industrial and utility applications. Products are designed and developed by an in-house team of engineers, with a significant portion manufactured in the United States.
