Tsurumi Pump Showcases Prowess at AEMA’s 125th Annual Meeting

2 Dec 2019  |
Tsurumi Pump is exhibiting at the American Exploration and Mining Association’s (AEMA) 125th annual meeting that is taking place from December 1 – 6 at the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada.

Representatives from Tsurumi Pump will be on hand at booth 744 to explain the durability of its pumps for heavy-duty workloads.

The pump manufacturer will showcase equipment that is specifically engineered to handle the rough conditions of mining and construction applications. On display will be pumps from its GPN, KTD and HS lines.

“We have a proud tradition of attending this event to showcase our equipment that has helped mining and construction contractors for many years,” said Glenn Wieczorek, managing director of Tsurumi Pump. “The pumps on display were specifically engineered to handle rigorous work, and we’re excited to exhibit them to potential customers from these industries.”

The KTD line of equipment is an agitator pump series that is suitable for transferring or draining bentonite slurry used for slurry drilling, draining slurry mixed water in civil engineering works or foundation works. It is made of cast iron so that it can handle some of the damage it may endure on the job site.

The GSD series pump is a heavy-duty slurry pump that delivers high head and high volume discharge. It is a submersible, three-phase, high-power, high-head and high-volume heavy-duty slurry pump driven by a 4-pole motor. It is equipped with a high-chromium cast iron agitator that assists smooth suction of the settled matters. The pump parts such as the impeller and the suction cover are made of wear-resistant materials. These features make it suitable for continuous operation under the rough conditions often found at mega-construction sites and mines.

The HS series is a single-phase submersible pump designed for water, wastewater and light slurry pumping. It is suitable for residential, commercial, industrial and construction dewatering applications.
