Summary of Application:
A large industrial services provider required a more robust and accurate flow meter after having previously used a meter from a different mfg. Macnaught was selected after exceeding rigorous beta test conditions which included accuracy validation & proving wide turn down capabilities. Accuracy of 0.5% and repeatability of 0.03% was confirmed, and proven to be unaffected by varying media viscosities or flow rates. The customer struggled to find a meter which could consistently provide accurate reading of flow of media with varying viscosities. Previously it was necessary to recalibrate the existing meter when switching between fluids of differing viscosities, causing downtime and operational inefficiency. Hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and oils are a center of target application for Macnaught MX Flowmeters. Changes in viscosities do not require recalibration of the meter. The customer reports greater convenience and increased operational efficiency and has standardized on this meter.
