A Century of Manufacturing Excellence
Founded in 1933, Landia has built a reputation for the longevity and reliability of its equipment. From its early days producing slurry pumps for farmers, the company now designs and manufactures pumps and mixers for a variety of sectors, including municipal wastewater treatment, biogas, and the food industry, while maintaining close ties with the farming community.
In 1950, Landia developed the worldās first Chopper Pump, a design that remains highly effective for managing challenging effluents and slurries. Today, the Chopper Pump is central to their aeration system (AirJet) and GasMix biogas digester mixing system.
Tailor-Made Solutions for Every Customer
Liz Robinson, Landia UKās Operations Executive, highlighted the companyās bespoke approach.
āWe know that there are some big manufacturers in our industry with very high volumes of sales,ā she said, ābut we donāt sell off-the-shelf. We build to order. Every pump and mixer matters, and is traceable back to the individual skilled craftsman who built it. Landia engineers take huge pride in building truly reliable products of top quality.ā
She added: āReaching this major milestone in the companyās history with tailor-made solutions for the precise needs of our customers is therefore all the more remarkable. As a company, we continue to grow year-on-year.ā
