From 21 to 23 October 2025, Swiss flow solutions provider GF will showcase its range of products, planning and customizing services at Hydrogen Technology Expo in Hamburg, Germany. Visitors will be able to experience H2-ready components such as the Butterfly Valve 565 and the weldable, high purity PROGEF Plus PP-H piping system, designed to support the growth of green hydrogen with long-lasting materials and reliable operation.

Thanks to their corrosion-resistance, excellent leach-out values, and flexibility for the transport of ultrapure water, thermoplastics have established themselves as a piping material across the hydrogen value chain. As a global leader in thermoplastic piping systems, GF is therefore committed to advancing the hydrogen industry with low-maintenance, corrosion-free plastic piping systems.

At Hydrogen Technology Expo 2025, visitors will be able to experience GF’s extensive portfolio of H2 solutions. These include PROGEF, a homopolymer polypropylene welded piping system that has been specifically designed to meet purified water requirements. Its highly corrosion-resistant material properties minimize metal ions and organic leaching and may extend the lifespan of electrolysers. In addition to hydrogen production, GF will also focus on hydrogen storage with its Type IV liner components. These and other solutions across the value chain can be explored virtually at the booth with GF’s 3D Hydrogen World.

Visitors will also be able to experience the corrosion-free Butterfly Valve 565, which is now available cleaned for oxygen service to meet the demanding requirements of modern electrolyser systems. The valve comes in double packaging to prevent contamination, while chemically inert lubricants maintain high purity standards without compromising the electrolysis. As a result, the 565 ensures a reliable control of purified water during hydrogen production and contributes to the efficiency, safety, and longevity of electrolyser systems.

Beyond products: tailored engineering for hydrogen success

GF not only delivers components, but also provides comprehensive engineering and customization services, such as retrofitting, or prefabricated solutions to meet the specific needs of hydrogen projects. From joint system design and material selection to digital simulation and on-site training, GF supports customers in creating safe, efficient, and future-proof systems. With decades of application knowledge GF’s experts apply their know-how to accelerate hydrogen innovation and ensure smooth implementation across the entire value chain.

Gregory Fourgeaud, Head of New Energy at GF comments: “To scale green hydrogen efficiently, customers need solutions tailored to their specific requirements. With our engineering expertise and ability to customize thermoplastic systems, we help create safe and reliable infrastructure that meets the highest performance standards. GF is now deeply involved at every stage of hydrogen project development – from collaborating with water treatment companies, EPCs, and OEMs to supporting end-users directly. This holistic approach reflects our commitment to driving innovation and shaping the future of clean energy.”
