The Chillgard 5000 Remote Display provides gas monitor information before room entry where potentially high gas levels might exist that could be potentially toxic or at combustible levels. This unit is easily installed adjacent to entryways or walls outside of the monitored hazardous area for safe and convenient use.
Workers can be alerted quickly by the display’s audible alarm and while outside, they can read the monitor status to learn about the alarm conditions inside the room. Designed for use with MSA’s Chillgard 5000 Refrigerant or Ammonia Leak Monitors, the Remote Display provides superior levels of staff safety and staff response flexibility to potential gas leaks.
This convenient, intuitive, easy-to-read Remote Display mimics the Chillgard 5000 Gas Monitor’s own built-in display readings for gas concentration, alarm status, calibration, and fault diagnostics. The external Remote Display offers an economical solution to verify the gas levels inside the hazardous area from the mechanical room’s safe entryway. It helps facilities meet ASHRAE 15 compliance for entryway signaling.
Up to four Chillgard, 5000 Remote Displays can be connected in series to protect multiple entryways into a mechanical room, providing technicians more than one choice as they respond to alarms or perform routine maintenance tasks. The unit features a large 7-inch (178 mm) rectangular color display that includes real-time text and graphics. It is multilingual, password protectable, and offers them easy access to detector settings, event log data, and diagnostics.
