CPC Biotech Launches the Quattroflow HTX All-in-One Pump Drive

The Quattroflow HTX all-in-one pump drive from CPC Biotech, available in three sizes with a five-inch touchscreen
2 Nov 2026  |
CPC Biotech, part of PSG, a Dover company, and a leading manufacturer of connectors, pumps, and flow sensors used in biopharmaceutical processing, has launched the Quattroflow HTX, an all-in-one pump drive that brings touchscreen control, flexible remote operation and fluid-specific calibration to the laboratory bench. It is the new generation of the HT platform introduced in 2016 and is available to order in three sizes from today.

Key points

Five-Inch Touchscreen – a five-inch touchscreen replaces the keypad and small display of the previous generation

Remote Control – remote control over analog signals or Ethernet

Integrated Drive – an integrated drive that needs no separate inverter

Everything Behind the Pump Head Is New

The HTX pairs with the same four-piston diaphragm pump heads used across the Quattroflow range, in single-use and multiple-use configurations. What has changed is everything behind the pump head: the motor, the drive electronics, the software, the control functions and the interfaces.

Designed Around the Person Operating It

Ease of use was the starting point for the HTX. The touchscreen is intuitive, and the drive is integrated and space-saving, as it does not require a separate inverter, so it works as a standalone unit on a laboratory bench or in bioprocessing.

The HTX was designed around the person operating it. A five-inch capacitive touchscreen replaces the keypad and small display of the previous generation, and has been tested with several types of gloves, including thick cleanroom gloves. Speed, flow rate and dispense volume are set directly on the screen, in the units the operator already works in, and the drive reports back speed, temperature, run hours, alarms and fault codes.

Because the motor electronics are built into the drive, there is no separate inverter to find room for, which is what makes the HTX practical as a standalone unit where space is short.

Remote Control Over Analog Signals or Ethernet

HTX connects over Modbus TCP across Ethernet, with analog and digital inputs and outputs available as a hardware alternative. Firmware updates and pump configurations transfer by USB, so a setting proved on one pump can be copied to the next.

“The HTX gives you flexible options for remote control, either over analog signals or over Ethernet. Or, of course, an operator working at the bench can simply use the touchscreen,” says Frerix.

Calibrated to the Fluid in Front of It

The HTX calibrates to the fluid in front of it rather than to an assumed standard. The operator runs a test dispense, measures what actually came out on a scale or a flow meter, enters the real figure, and the software recalculates its internal curve for that fluid’s viscosity and density.

“The accuracy of the Quattroflow pump is what makes the rest possible. Because each motor revolution displaces a defined volume, the HTX can accurately calculate flow rates and run a dispensing mode, for example to fill bottles or containers,” says Frerix.

The dispensing mode itself repeats a measured volume on demand. With a foot switch connected, the operator fills a container, moves the next one into place and fills again.

Alarms, User Groups and Three Languages

Alarms cover motor faults and faults connected to the front sensor port, detecting overpressure from a blocked filter or a closed line. Every alarm is logged with the time it happened and the time someone acknowledged it. Four user groups can be set up with their own PINs and permissions, plus a guest level, and the interface runs in English, German and French where the previous generation offered English only.

From Media Transfer to Small-Scale Filtration

Applications include media and buffer transfer, precise dispensing and small-batch filling, and small-scale filtration, used standalone on a bench or on a mobile production cart.

The pumping principle is unchanged. Four diaphragms move fluid from one chamber to the next, a design described as mimicking the gentle action of the human heart, producing low-pulse, low-shear transfer, which is why the range is already used in tangential flow filtration and chromatography.

Even finer details of the product have been addressed to emphasize the standard of quality that is offered by Quattroflow pumps. The cooling fan is temperature-controlled to keep it quiet, the feet are silicone so they don’t leave black marks, and an optional LED ring visually indicates pump status from across a room.

The Quattroflow HTX Drive Series is available to order now. For more information about the performance and versatility of the Quattroflow HTX Drive Series, please visit the HTX webpage.

Quattroflow HTX Drive Series: Three Sizes

The Quattroflow HTX Drive Series comes in three sizes. Flow ranges are:

  • QF300.06 to 30 liters per hour
  • QF1501 to 180 liters per hour
  • QF12006 to 1,200 liters per hour

The QF30 is single-use only; the QF150 and QF1200 are available in single-use and multi-use configurations. Further sizes will follow.

The pump chambers and the four-piston diaphragm pumping principle are unchanged from the previous generation; the motor, drive, software, control functions and interfaces are new. The five-inch touchscreen is capacitive and has been tested with several types of gloves, including thick cleanroom gloves. The interface runs in English, German and French.

Protection rating IP54. The drive accepts any mains supply from 100 to 250 volts at 50 or 60 hertz through a standard appliance inlet, with EU, US and UK cables supplied.

The HTX was shown as a prototype at INTERPHEX 2026, at the Single-Use Event in Leiden in September, and at the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy congress in Hamburg from October 27 to 30.
