Smart Air Injection conveys highly viscous media with a variable dry solids content over long distances. In the environmental industry, it is used to transport dewatered sludge energy-efficiently compared to conventional conveying methods. In breweries and distilleries, Smart Air Injection shows its strengths when conveying malt and hop spent grains. In this process, the pumped medium is first compressed into long plugs in the progressive cavity pump, which are then pneumatically conveyed further by extremely short compressed air pulses of just a few seconds. Overall, very little compressed air is required for conveying. This low energy requirement reduces operating costs by up to 80 %. Distances of up to 1,000 meters with changes of direction and height differences are possible without any problems.
In the webinars, the SEEPEX experts provide a detailed insight into the intelligent SAI conveying concept, show application and functional areas and demonstrate savings with numerous references.
