The water level tape is ASME- certified and encased in a protective polyethylene jacket which also adds to the durability and longevity of the tape in the field. This range of water level meters are also IP68-rates so can be fully submerged to find the bottom of a well or borehole.
This meter is ready for effective, accurate fieldwork and was designed for this in mind. One key feature of the water meter is that is has both static and drawdown modes to perform low-flow and pump tests, which means less equipment needs to be taken in to the field. It also has an integrated well hanger so when dropping the meter probe into the hole or well the base unit will stay secure.
It is ergonomically designed to make it easy to unwind and rewind the tape, as well as more comfortable to carry on site. This is evident in the safety disconnect design on the tape that can disengage the probe if it were to get trapped inside the area being logged. A probe can be replaced easily in the field so there is no need to return the tape for maintenance
The rugged In-Situ Water Level Meter is high strength so there is less stretching which will improve the repeatability of accurate measurements. There is also a sensitivity dial so any probes can be adjusted in case of cascading water.
Bell Environmental recently helped a client with a 300m (1000ft) long for borehole exploration. The flexibility of the level meter means that any lengths from 30m (100ft) to 600m (2000ft) can be requested whilst still giving high accuracy and performance.
