New Signal Operated Air Pressure Relay Offers Precise Control with High Forward and Relief Flow Capacity

ControlAir LLC, a leading manufacturer of precision pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control products, today announced the introduction of the new Type 7150 Precision Air Relay.

The Type 7150 is a high precision, multi-stage pressure relay offering fine adjustment and maximum stability under variable operating conditions. High resolution output control combined with very high relief capacity make the Type 7150 the choice for pneumatic counter balance applications like articulating arms and balancers.

The Type 7150 combines the proven and reliable technology of the ControlAir Type 200 Precision Air Relay with the high forward and reverse flow of the Type 6100, 1:1 Relay Volume Booster. A highly sensitive capsule controls the pilot pressure which offers crisp and accurate adjustment.  The Type 7150 Precision Air Relay is designed for applications where precise control, superior relief, and air flow sensitivity is needed.  It’s typically used when increased flow capacity or remote pressure control is required.   Applications include volume boosting, roll loading, tension control, cylinder control, pressure control, counter balance, and industrial clutch and brake control.

The Type 7150 features high flow capacity allowing flows up to 265 scfm (7,500 Nl/min). Relief capacity up to 80 scfm (2,264 NL/min) combined with dynamic sensitivity makes the Type 7150 superior for pneumatic counter balance applications. Control sensitivity is less than 1/4″ water column and an isolated control chamber provides extremely stable performance by preventing hunting and vibration, regardless of supply pressure changes or conditions. The Type 7150 Precision Air Relay can handle 250 psi (17.5 bar) maximum system pressure and positive and negative biasing capability.
