What began as a regional family business grew into a company that has played a key role in shaping the history of the hermetically sealed centrifugal pump. A decisive milestone was the invention of the leak-free Canned Motor Pump in 1954 – an innovation that laid the foundations for the technologies for which HERMETIC is known worldwide today.

160 years later, our pump systems are in use wherever safety, leak-tightness and reliability are crucial. From its humble beginnings in the Kaiserstuhl region, the company has grown into an internationally active enterprise and one of the world’s leading specialists in hermetically sealed pumps.
