Brooks Instrument Mass Flow Controllers Provide Intelligent Gas Flow Control in New Cytiva Bioreactor

Cytiva, a global provider of leading life sciences brands, has launched its new Xcellerex™ X-platform bioreactors, which feature SLA5800 Series Biotech mass flow controllers from Brooks Instrument, a world leader in advanced flow, pressure and vapor delivery solutions. Used to create monoclonal antibody (mAb) treatments and for manufacturing cell and gene therapies and viral vectors, the X-platform bioreactors can be ordered in 50 L or 200 L sizes, with larger sizes to follow. Mass flow controllers (MFCs) are essential components in bioreactors, managing the precise flow of pure gasses like carbon dioxide, nitrogen, air and oxygen into bioreactor chambers.

Titan Enterprises Releases Second Generation Pulsite® Link

As the newest addition to its line of flow measuring instruments and displays, Titan Enterprises is releasing the second generation Pulsite® Link pulse and analogue converter. With the help of the Pulsite® Link, users may convert common pulse output flow metres, such Titan’s precision turbine flowmeters and positive displacement flowmeters, to scaled and linearised analogue and NPN/PNP outputs.

Inspection of Engine Components for Blowholes

Quality assurance for injection molded parts. In order to maintain consistent quality in the production of injection molded parts for engine construction, it must be ensured that there is perfect flow through the channels.
During the production of engine components by injection molding, blowhole inclusions can occur in concealed channels. These cause a narrowing of the channel and can lead to partial or complete blockage. A proper flow of the corresponding medium is no longer guaranteed. Until now, only a single-unit inspection by means of endoscopic measurement was possible. This was very time-consuming and could not be automated, taking into account short cycle times.
