Inline Flow Sensor with IO-Link for 3 to 60 l/min

Sensor specialist EGE provides an IO-Link programmable inline flow sensor for OEMs and machine builders who need a compact, tamper-proof solution for flow measurement in aqueous media.

The SDNC 550 inline sensor detects flow rates between 3 and 60 l/min. It has no display or configuration interface. Instead, parameters are set via IO-Link using the sensor’s M12 connection, optionally via a PLC or via an IO-Link master module connecting the sensor to a PC/laptop.

For this purpose, EGE supplies the IOL-Master-Set V1.1 including the required cables. Two terminals of the M12 connector can be configured as PNP, analog, or pulse outputs for transmitting measured values. The IO-Link sensors can also be connected to any common bus system via the equivalent master modules.

Based on the calorimetric measuring principle, the sensors feature no moving parts or impact areas in the conduit. Therefore, there can be no pressure loss. The wetted parts are made of 1.4571 stainless steel and FKM. The SDNC 550 line features IP67 ingress protection. These sensors are pressure-proof up to 20 bar and suitable for media temperatures of 0 °C to +90 °C.
