Introduction of the New PCM IPAC Intelligent Pump Automation Controller

PCM now offers the PCM IPAC, a flexible, cost effective controller, specially designed to work with progressing cavity pumps and provide the best ergonomics to allow easy use of complex monitoring.

By all means, we are committed to simplifying the operations of our customers. Developed by PCP specialists, the new PCM IPAC has the most friendly user PCP oriented interface you can find on the market to control and improve equipment performance and production.

The PCM IPAC is available in two configurations including VSD with embedded or stand-alone PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface). Whether you opt for the full PCM IPAC or choose the mini version of PCM IPAC with pilot VSD already installed on field, the main functions of our controller are to optimize the well production, monitor PCP operating data and communicate data to and from external systems.

Flexible configuration

PCM provides its own VSD range from 11 to 90KW (15 to 120HP) for PCM IPAC. If you prefer to use your own VSD or have one already in place, we adapt and PCM IPAC Mini has been specially conceived to be compatible with a majority of VSD brand and to record your own VSD parameters and other sensors that may be available on the well. PCM IPAC is capable of being integrated with any surface instrument and is open to receive downhole signals from any downhole sensors.

The most friendly user touch screen on the market

Because it has been thought to seek the simplest way of monitoring operations, the PCM IPAC provides the easiest and most intuitive 10,1” touch screen. Quick visibility on well status and display of key PCP parameters appear on the screen, providing a number of options that best suit your monitoring and data record requirements (downhole, surface, energy data etc). Once operators have evaluated their wellheads and what points require monitoring through the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), the HMI (Human Machine Interface) panel and PCP dedicated software prove fast and very handy to work with.

Settable alarms from VSD and I/O data

The PCM IPAC provides a common preset series of alarms in order to guarantee a smooth operation: torque, flow rate, pressure, PTC, temperature and others. Two levels, warning and stop can be set. Additional customized alarms are also programmable if required.

Internal data memory and connectivity

The PCM IPAC provides six months of data records internal storage and the easiest and quick download of data through USB stick. Of course passing the signal to the customer own data acquisition device is also possible. Easy data transmission and communication are compatible with SCADA connectivity (MODBUS), thought RS485 ports of communication using protocols Ethernet TCP/IP, WIFI and GSM modules.

Simple installation

Two hours only are needed for fast and simple installation. Two standard sizes enclosures can be supplied for PCM IPAC with VSD: 1000x400x1200mm for 11to 45 KW; 800x 500x 1800mm for 55-90KW.

PCM IPAC Mini can be fixed on wall or existing VSD enclosure or option for light stand can be provided.

Controlling performance to optimize our solutions to your needs is central in our strategy. It becomes crucial to connect data from well to operator in real time.
