GEA supplements its GEA Hilge HYGIA range with a 45 kilowatt motor, thereby expanding the hygienic pump’s performance spectrum to a flow rate of 180 cubic meters per hour. The new version is also suitable for demanding pharmaceutical applications, particularly because the use of high-quality, no- cast materials in CIP- and SIP-capable special pumps is a critical factor in the production of life science products. GEA will introduce the new drive version at POWTECH 2019 in Nuremberg, which focuses primarily on mechanical process engineering for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries
Pumps & Pumping systems
Fluid Handling Pumps
Fluid Handling Pumps can be defined as mechanical devices that add energy to fluids to increase the flow rate and static pressure. All fluid pumps are classified as either positive displacement (Hydraulic) pumps or dynamic pumps and are used to accomplish this process. Fluid pumps are all pumps designed to handle industrial fluid elements. The capability of fluid pumps is influenced by flow rate, pressure, power, head and efficiency.
Fluid Pumping Systems
Fluid pumping systems have a wide range of applications varying from circulating water and pumping chemicals to maintaining pressure. This Technology Zone offers an insight into the latest innovations in fluid handling and pumping systems.

In addition to contamination caused by sand and water deposits, crude oils and natural gases contain numerous non-marketable – and therefore unwanted – components such as hydrogen sulfide and chlorine. Breaking down these components and processing them further is not economically viable.
ProMinent is focusing on technical details at this year’s Pumps & Valves trade fair in Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany. The fair runs between 20 and 21 February 2019 and ProMinent can be found on Stand R 51-6 in Hall 6. Using a sectional model of the Orlita Evolution EF2a, the Heidelberg-based manufacturer is demonstrating all the design features, which ensure maximum process reliability and flexibility.Read more
