ABEL Smart Pump Assistant

10 Nov 2021  |

Pump Operators reduce their Operating Costs quite smartly

Like people use fitness tracker, pump operators use the ABEL Smart Pump Assistant. By providing a continuous view (24/7) of the operating values of the displacement pumps, the Smart Pump Assistant ensures the availability of the pump in long terms. In addition, ABEL’s smart solution uncovers, in some cases considerable, optimization potential for the customers in its use of reciprocating diaphragm pumps.

Digital Twin

The pump on site is digitally mapped as the sensors on the pump feed the digital twin with data. This is where things get particularly interesting for pump operators, because ABEL generates algorithms from the anonymized pump data that make error patterns immediately visible. Recommendations for action to remedy the errors are derived from this and thus a learning system is created from which ABEL customers benefit.

Optimize Operating Costs and increase Productivity

Valuable insights are gained from the analysis data in order to optimize the entire process. At ABEL, PEO stands for Pump Efficiency Optimization. Here, the algorithms are used to obtain suggestions for optimizing the operation of the pump. Pump operators thus save time, costs and energy while increasing productivity regardless of industry and pump application. Maintenance work can also be planned dynamically, thus ensuring pump availability.

Customized Service

ABEL took big steps in high quality digital services, that are especially valuable during the Corona pandemic. To ensure trouble-free and continuous use of the ABEL pumps, it is important that customers can be offered remote problem solutions for their pumps. ABEL offers remote diagnostics with its SelfService and TechService. These service packages include a monthly performance report as well as a summary of the pump’s operation. The pump’s analysis data is available to both, ABEL technicians and the customer via app (iOS and Android). By using the ABEL Smart Pump Assistant, customers are optimally supported during the commissioning of their pumps.  Should a technician needs to be on site, troubleshooting can be done much faster due to the immediately available data. In addition, service customers pay a lower hourly fee for the technician. Less time and lower hourly fees – this is how smart service works.

Tradition meets Digitalization

ABEL has been in the pump business since 1947. With the Smart Pump Assistant, the market leader from northern Germany is entering the field of digitalization. ABEL offers its customers a well thought-out service to operate pumps even more economically. In addition to the advantage of the longevity of ABEL pumps, the Smart Pump Assistant provides support for the optimization of operating costs. This is where years of pump experience meet digital possibilities. More and more customers are opting for the Smart Pump Assistant when making a new investment. Retrofitting of operating pumps is possible, too.
